![]() I'm not sure what else I can do to troubleshoot. To setup the core's required files I have used the standalone PCSX2 program and then copied its folder into retroarch's system folder, I have also made sure the folder names are in lowercase. I have setup retroarch to use it's own online updater to download cores and assets. Here is a pastebin link of my retroarch config file The arch wiki page for retroarch did not cover my specific issue. I have also found CharlesG's post which also did not solve my problem, as I've mentioned above I have tried every driver available (gl, glcore, gl1, vulkan, sdl2, xvideo, x11) and none worked with the PCSX2 core. I have checked the forums for previous topics and have found Marvix's post, my machine does meet the core system requirements as it is SSE2 capable. I have managed to get a different, PPSSPP, core to work and it runs fine. I have tried every video driver available in the settings and they all crash. I have all the necessary files correctly setup as the core is getting recognised in retroarch and the standalone PCSX2 program works with the same files. If I make a custom cfg file will it load this one instead or does it invariably load the one in the data folder? I tried to modify both files to fix the "Swap OK Cancel" button issue explained above but it didn't do any good.Ģ- Is there a way to lock you in the Quick Menu while playing a ROM? I don't want to be able to access the whole UI if I accidentaly press "Cancel" while in it.I'm trying to run the PCSX2 core in retroarch. I assume it's the one in /storage/emulated/0/data but my custom one is located in /storage/emulated/0/RetroArch. But while I'm here, I might as well ask away.ġ- What's the default cfg file loaded in RetroArch. Then I have a few bonus questions I'm sure I could find the answers somewhere. However, no matter where I search, I seem to be unable to unbind specific game to a core. I used a Snes9X core on a game and I have sound issues, I feel a bsnes core would be more appropriate as I assume the Shield TV would not have performance issues with it. I would prefer having it as "A" for OK and "B" for cancel as using the controller in any other app than RetroArch on this system is mapped as such.ģ- I have not found a way to change used core for a specific game previously loaded with another core. I have not found a way to revert to "A" being the OK button and "B" Cancel. Which brings me to my second point.Ģ- On a fresh install the OK and Cancel functions in UI are mapped to "A" and "B" respectively (for reference, "A" is the bottom button and "B" is the rightmost one), after toying around, adding roms to my collection, it'll swap those out of the blue, regardless of the settings in the cfg (or the options in UI for that matter). I saw a post with someone describing a similar issue and his fix was to set the "swap OK and Cancel" setting to "false". I know it's not a controller sync issue as the home and Shield (Google Assistant) button are always working. ![]() I need to do this procedure everytime I launch RetroArch, I load content (ROM) and exit content. However, the controller is still the first mapped controller when playing games. The remote gets mapped as input #0 and the controller as #1. It seem to not get picked up by RetroArch unless I do the following steps: Press a couple of times on a button on the Shield Remote and then press on a button on the Shield Controller. However, I am faced with several disturbing issues I am sure there are fixes for.ġ- I have controller issues in RetroArch. I recently received a Shield TV Android box and I wanted to setup RetroArch on it seeing it supports most system I want to play.
